[WastePD Webinar] Logan Ward - Machine Learning for Materials Design
Logan Ward is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago and the Data Science and Learning Division of Argonne National Laboratory. He earned his BS and MS from The Ohio State University in Materials Science and Engineering in 2012, and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University in 2017. During his PhD, Logan developed general purpose methods for building machine learning models from materials data and explored their application to the design of metallic glasses. He currently works on applying learning methods to the design new materials and making data science tools accessible to the general scientific community.
